Clik here to view.Oh, my goodness! Time is drawing near so I thought I’d put together our Christmas Home Tour 2015 before everyone arrived! Christmas Eve is always an exciting time for all of us here at the Crossroads for so many reasons. The house is all decorated, and I think our little country cottage looks its best at this time of year.

Clik here to view.I go all out decorating the front porch because we are usually able to enjoy it during our mild South Carolina winters. As you can see, our front porch decorations reflect our gardening interests. Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view. The tree has ornaments created with vintage seed catalog artwork as well as a grow bag skirt!

Clik here to view.On the coffee table is a simple woodland scene with a little ceramic deer. The base is a terracotta pot saucer that I painted white and added some Epsom salt and white glitter to give it a snowy effect.

Clik here to view.Underneath the dove is a peaceful looking lighted snowy village town. I found the houses at the auction that we attend all the time last year.

They were a bit too colorful for my taste so I painted them white and gave them the same Epsom salt and white glitter treatment.

Clik here to view. The ornaments on the tree are a mix of a collection of white and green Santas along with a few new ornaments.

Clik here to view.I’ve been collecting the white Santas ever since Leo and I met.

Clik here to view. The collection was inspired by this white Santa tree topper that we put on our first tree that we put up as a couple.

Clik here to view. The green Santas were added later because I’ve always had a “thing” for green! The star ornament was sent to me by my sweet blogging friend Ann from On Sutton Place. She made it from a rare green grain sack and sent it and a few others that she made from it to me because……she knows I’m such a green lover!

Clik here to view. The pine cone pillow is new as well. I ordered it from Joss and Main to tie in with the huge pine cones that I used on the mantel.

Clik here to view. Here’s another pine cone taking a ride on the back of this wooden deer in front of the fireplace, but there will be no lighting of the fire this Christmas Eve. We’ve been having unseasonably warm weather here.

Clik here to view.In the kitchen is a new gingerbread tree. In the fall, the little tree served as a Halloween Tree for the Kitchen.

Clik here to view. The nativity set has a special place in our family room to remind us of the reason for the season. I hope you’ve enjoyed the Christmas tour of our home. Part of our family has already arrived so our little cottage if full right now, and my heart is definitely full, too!
Leo and I wish you a very merry and blessed Christmas!
